Waqar Jan
Mr Waqar Jan is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in hip and knee replacement surgeries. He has over 26 years’ experience since becoming qualified in medicine in Pakistan, then training in Ireland.
Biography
Mr Waqar Jan gained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Peshawar University, Pakistan in 1991 and his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 1998. He also finished a 4 year Senior Specialist Registrar Training Program with the RCSI in 2005. Mr Jan won Cork prize of the year in 2000 for best research paper presentation. Since then he has done several presentations, publishing some.
He has a special interest in lower limb arthroplasty, (hip and knee replacements).
