Biography
Mr Eleftherios Karamanlis graduated from medical school of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1996, and went on to undertake mandatory year-long service both in the Greek Army Medical Department and as a working GP. He completed his training in orthopaedics in 2007 and was granted his CCT in trauma and orthopaedics.
Mr Karamanlis moved to England in 2008 to work as an upper limb fellow at the Wrightington Hospital in Wigan, before moving to Southampton General University Hospital where he worked and trained as a senior upper limb fellow. In 2010, he joined Practice Plus Group Hospital, Southampton as full-time consultant hand surgeon.
