Biography

Graduated University of Zimbabwe (MBChB) 1985. Specialty training Glasgow 1993 to 1997. Completed Fellowship FRCS (Glasg) November 1996 and FRCOphth (UK) March 1997.

Mr Bhakta works at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport (October 2009 to Present), and previously at Richard Morris Eye Unit and Bulawayo Eye Clinic, Zimbabwe (May 1999 to August 2009) Gartnavel General Hospital April 1994 to April 1997.

Mr Bhakta is an ophthalmologist specialising in laser treatments for diabetic eye disease (PRP and focal laser), glaucoma (SLT and YAG laser Pi’s) and YAG laser capsulotomy.
