Biography

Graduated in 1994, Awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FDSRCS Eng) in 1999. Master of Philosophy (MPhil) from the University of Manchester in 2003. Fellowship of the Faculty of Dentistry (FFDRCSI) Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2012. Membership in Oral Surgery (M Oral Surg) Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2013. Master in dental implant (MSC) university of Salford 2013. Postgraduate certificate in medical education (PG Cert Med-Ed) Cardiff University in 2021.

Mr Elrasheed has over twenty years’ experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery and has developed special interest in dental implant, managing facial pain and intravenous sedation. He has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed and international journals.

Mr Elrasheed specialises in the surgical treatment of complicated dentoalveolar procedures Level 3 under local anaesthesia, intravenous sedation, and general anaesthesia. He deals with patients with complex medical conditions and those with severe dental phobia, with a special interest in managing dental anxiety and providing conscious sedation.

He has experience in performing various paediatric oral surgery procedures, surgical endodontics, pre-prosthetic surgery, and dealing with benign oral pathology. He also has experience in treating patients with oral medicine lesions and conditions, and dealing with facial pain.

Mr Elrasheed has a special interest in placing dental implants, alveolar ridge grafting and expansion, sinus lifting, and connective tissue grafting. In 2004, he was accepted as a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI). In 2012, he completed, with distinction, a three-year taught clinical program MSc in Implant Dentistry.

He also has over 17 publications in prestigious scientific peer-reviewed journals, participated in and delivered many presentations and posters at different conferences (Active engagement in publication over 24 years).

In his spare time he enjoys walking, sightseeing, playing football and table tennis.
