Oliver Blocker is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Birmingham.
He was previously a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emersons Green in Bristol, but relocated in September 2024, to our hospital in Birmingham.
Mr Oliver Blocker specialises in primary and revision knee and hip replacements. In addition to Practice Plus Group his NHS practice is in North Wales, where he has been a consultant since 2020. Following specialist training in Wales and at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry his fellowship experience included the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham.
His subspeciality interest is in the management of Prosthetic Joint Infection and he is passionate about NHS research and Trauma and orthopaedic education.
