Mr Emad Sherkawi is a highly accomplished Consultant General and Gastrointestinal Surgeon specialising in keyhole and robotic procedures. With extensive NHS and international training, he is an expert in laparoscopic hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction, gallbladder surgery, and endoscopy. Alongside his independent practice, he serves as a substantive NHS Consultant known for his calm approach, clear communication, and commitment to delivering tailored, evidence-based care to every patient.
Alongside his independent practice, he is a Consultant Surgeon at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, where he maintains a high-volume emergency and general surgical practice managing a wide range of complex surgical conditions. Mr Sherkawi has extensive experience in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery, including complex hernia surgery and abdominal wall reconstruction. His practice focuses particularly on gallbladder disease, all types of hernia repair and upper GI endoscopy (OGD/gastroscopy). He also has expertise in upper gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery, including anti-reflux and hiatus hernia surgery.
