I came to this centre and was worried because I read some of the reviews but what a surprise, from the moment I came in to the moment I left I felt really happy with the service, the staff were incredible, a lovely lady called Otis was super friendly and Dr Mohammed and his staff were really lovely and put my nerves at ease straight away. The place is super clean and I really have no complaints whatsoever.

My husband recently had a procedure at Practice Plus and the care he received was above our expectations, great professional and kind service from everyone, a huge thanks to Mr Borley and his team.

On time quick and informative with a clear explanation of the issue and a plan to get back to good health. Quick access to follow up in 3-4 weeks if the exercises don’t help without needing to go back to hoops to see the same consultant. Very happy!

The physiotherapist explained to me the reasons why l was having painful neck. She further suggested and demonstrated what l needed to do in order to improve the situation. She forwarded a series of exercises to my email so that l know precisely what to do. I was very impressed and happy with my experience.

Atmosphere calm, building clean and fresh, toilets clean, but mostly because the member of staff who did my ultrasound was very pleasant and helpful and explained what she was seeing.

Was able to book a time that worked for me after finishing work on a Saturday afternoon. Receptionist was pleasant and professional, was seen at the agreed appointment time, the ultrasound operative was also pleasant and professional and fully explained what he was doing, would have no hesitation recommending this centre.

Great from start to finish the surgeon that did my hip op was Mr Flood great job the anaesthetist was Rachel she was brilliant to all the day staff and night staff you were all great which made my stay here brilliant.

I needed some corrective surgery on my foot which I was initially told would be not be available on the NHS. However, I had a successful referral from OASIS and the whole experience has been trouble free. Appointments all delivered on time with super friendly staff. I had my operation yesterday at Shepton Mallet and the theatre team were just fantastic (at the age of 65 this was my first experience of a medical theatre). Special thanks to Mr Lattouf, Cosmo, Richard and Dimos the anaesthetist. There was a lady there too whose name I didn’t catch. I am indebted to you all.

Had my bunion surgery in December 2023 and July 2024. It was an amazing experience! I was so lucky to meet such a talented surgeon Gerard Lattouf, I have now beautiful feet and life without pain, will be grateful to him for the rest of my life I woke up smoothly after GA, thanks to Maria and Cosmo, my appointments were never late or cancelled, everyone is so nice and friendly. Thank you.

I had a total hip replacement at the end of September. The whole team were fantastic, the nursing staff are very attentive, friendly and professional. A special thank you to the ladies that serve and make the food, the quality is excellent and they are so helpful. Also I would like to thank Mr Miller my surgeon, such a skilled man and nice with it.

I had the pleasure of having my first partial knee replacement performed my Mr Miller on Wednesday. A very positive experience. I am due to have second one done as soon as is possible. I was a little anxious about the op but have no qualms about having the next one done. Everyone was brilliant, and I mean, everyone. I was taken care of, fed well and given great advice. I know I am only a couple of days post op but I am able to move about far easier than expected. Thank you for the experience.

10 stars. Arrived 1st October, terrified, had left knee replacement on the 2nd. Courtesy of Mr Roman Miller & his amazing team. I was the “drama queen!” In room no4. Today a week later, I’ve made my own breakfast, coffee’s and carried them, had a shower, dressed by myself, tidied up a bit and I’ve put the washing on. Can’t thank you all enough, even miss some of you. Don’t know why you all made such a fuss. Swelling and bruising going down already. I very recently had a total left hip replacement and have previously had my right hip replaced here too. The care is second to none and there is an air of calm, friendly, warm efficiency within the hospital. I feel extremely fortunate to have had access to this hospital, to Mr Wudecki and his Team and to the wonderful, caring nursing and physio team. The process from the very beginning to the end was highly professional. My sincere thanks to you all.

I had a left total knee replacement on 10/07/24 patient would like to thank everyone involved in the surgery. Everyone was amazing, the attention and care given was outstanding. From reception onwards, I would like to thank the surgeon Waqar Jan and the nurses on the ward. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they’re a credit to the hospital.

I had a right hip replacement on 21/05/24 and would like to say thank you to my consultant Waqar Jan and all the staff surgical nursing and administration 8 weeks on. I was less daunted having the surgery with all the information that was given and the physio exercise programme. To have an emergency contact number was reassuring. I’m continuing with my recovery & my confidence is building every day, I really appreciate having improved mobility, no pain & a fully functioning hip.

I had a left total knee replacement on 15/04/24 and would like to say thank you for the treatment I received at your lovely hospital. I had been unable to walk without crutches for 14 months, I’m now pain free. My surgeon, Waqar Jan, & the team have given me my life back. I was able to walk my daughter down the aisle at her wedding 4 1/2 weeks after the operation and would like to thank everyone for making this a reality. I’d also like to thank the nurses & staff on the ward who were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble.

My husband has had both hips replaced by Mr. Gyorgy Lovasz brilliant surgeon friendly and instilled confidence we cant thank him and all the team enough.

Mr Lovasz did my hip replacement 5 years ago. I have never looked back.

Very good care from going in to going home. What an amazing team they are at Barlbourgh my consultant Mr Lovasz what a lovely gentleman. Thank you for giving me pain free nights and days fantastic theatre and recovery team and physio and the wonderful night/and day staff who take care of you. The food was great. I would definitely recommend hip replacement there. Can I give 10 stars

Amazing first class service from all the team at Barlborough hospital. I had Total Knee Replacement on my left knee last February (2017) and can’t thank everyone enough and now awaiting appointment date to have Total Knee Replacement on my right knee. Mr Springer was and is the surgeon to do both my knees and is brilliant.

It’s been just over a year since I had a total knee replacement at the Barlborough centre. Mr Springer was my surgeon, what a difference it’s made to my life. I actually feel I’ve got my life back. Can highly recommend Barlborough centre for professional care with added TLC.

Can not speak too highly of all at Barlborough Treatment Centre. Thank goodness for such talented people as Mr Springer, I was in severe pain before he did my total knee replacement.

I was also delighted to be able to walk to our reception unaided afterwards too. What was even better was that in every photo I looked like me, and not someone who had just had a hip replacement!

He truly is a great surgeon cannot praise him enough or thank him enough for the surgery on my knee, thank you Mr Dehne xx

It was incredible. I was given a course of tablets on the ward and then I was on the operating table. I was so relaxed I fell asleep. I came to and said to my surgeon, Mr Thorwald Springer, ‘Have I missed it?’ and he smiled and said yes. I also smiled as the pain had gone.

Before the operation it was like someone had pressed pause on my world…I really feel I can start my new chapter as Mrs Hiner pain-free!

I had a left total knee replacement on 03rd May 2024. I would like to thank the surgeon, Waqar Jan, and all the staff at the hospital who have been so kind. I was impressed with everything at the hospital. I would like to thank especially the SP team for their lovely card & Lavender seeds. My goal is to make my sisters 90th Birthday in Surrey which I’m really looking forward to with the help of physio and doing my exercises.

Fortunately, my granddaughter had heard of a local eye clinic run by Practice Plus Group…I’d advise anyone anyone to seek out a second opinion if they are having eye troubles. Practice Plus Group have been fantastic and I’d recommend them to anyone.

It has been incredible. Colours are brighter and everything is so much more detailed: it’s like life in HD. I thought my kitchen was cream, but it’s white!

I know I have excellent colleagues and our patients are always delighted with the care they receive. So, when my optician told me my cataracts needed to be removed, there was not a moment’s doubt for me that I would want the team to carry out the operation.

At 90 I feel like I have my life back…I can walk to the local supermarket with my shopping trolley and shop for myself. I’ve even started back with my favourite hobby – gardening.

Had my surgery on Monday (trigger finger). Amazing job done by Mr Hobbs.

I had total knee replacement, I couldn’t have got better treatment anywhere else Mr Ahad and his team are the best. I’m walking again thanks to them it’s the best.

I had bunion surgery mid July. I received the most excellent care, service and treatment throughout my experience. From initial consultation, pre op, operation and post op. The reception staff, nursing staff and the most excellent surgeon Dr Lattouf were professional, efficient and made me feel at ease on each visit. I had a knee replacement. What can I say about the people that work there. They were all brilliant, nothing was to much trouble, from the catering staff to Mr Brown the surgeon. I would recommend to have your surgery here. It’s more like being at home then in hospital.

The absolute best. I was happy to have Mr James Brown perform an ankle fusion on me for the second time and it was all so kind, professional and caring. I’ve had surgeries in California and North Carolina in the past and nothing touches the genuine care and can do professionalism of Mr Brown and his team.

Thank you to the team in the overnight ward. Lovely people and so attentive.

Had TKR in April. Am now in week 7 and everything seems to be going really well. I saw Mr James Brown this week and he said he was happy with the way it’s going. The whole experience has been great from the pre op assessment, the in patient experience and the follow up. The information was thorough, professional and relaxed. Everyone involved made me feel safe and well looked after. I couldn’t rate them higher. Thank you everyone.

I had an operation for Dupuytren’s contracture on my little finger. The surgeon Kenan Dehne did a brilliant job with no nerve damage and my recovery was very quick. All the staff were excellent through the whole process too.

I was lucky enough to have a hip replacement at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emersons Green. My experience was very positive. The surgeon Mr. Dehne did an excellent job, now just a neat trouble free scar testament to his skilful intervention. All the staff were helpful and efficient, starting from the reception, through to the ward. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My physiotherapist was exceptionally helpful and patient in getting me back up on my feet, making sure before I left, I knew how to continue the exercises to practice at home.

At age 65 and having my first major surgery (in my mind) in my life was referred to Emersons Green for an inguinal hernia repair. Staff at assessment were very reassuring and professional, especially Ms Paula Sabino dos Santos, my surgeon who explained everything perfectly. On the day of surgery Wed’s 12th September reception staff very friendly and efficient. Pre and post op’ was looked after by Ms Amparo Herrero-Canovas – absolutely lovely and caring, nothing was too much trouble for her. Cannot fault hospital or staff, they couldn’t have done anymore to make me feel more calm or comfortable. Would recommend this hospital 100%. Many thanks to all concerned.

I decided to use Barlborough Hospital for a total hip replacement after my mum had a very positive experience when she had her knee replaced. The consultation was a very reasonable price, very “no nonsense”, and included an x-ray [. . .]. The surgery by Mr Toth has turned out better than I had hoped regarding leg length, positioning of the implant etc. It’s all pretty much perfect. Although I had a spinal injection I was still asleep for the whole procedure, waking up in recovery wondering when they were going to start. All the staff are very kind, reassuring and professional. And I mean all of them, theatre staff, nursing staff, physio, porters, food, the list goes on [. . .]. In summary, thanks to all, I’ll see you if I have to come back for the other one.

I came here yesterday for an arthroscopy operation. I found the whole procedure from beginning to end superb. Everything was spotless it is a modern building. I found every member of staff very friendly and efficient. Mr Springer explained everything to me putting me at ease. Thank you all for looking after me so well.

I’d like to say thanks to all the team at Barlborough hospital on behalf of my father, who had a complex knee replacement operation this week. From the initial assessment right through to the aftercare, the staff were exceptional. Everything was explained very well prior to the operation by lead orthopaedic surgeon – Mr Lovasz. Special thanks in particular to Mandy Miller for all her hard work and communication behind the scenes. This hospital is 10/10 in quality and it shows throughout!

Had my sigmoidoscopy at Practice Plus Group on 5th August and the experience was very good. The aftercare was excellent. Also had an appointment with Dr Karamanlis for piles and again he was a very good dr. Would recommend coming to this place for treatments.

Just had double hernia repair at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Ilford on Monday 24th June 2024 I would like to say a very big thank you to Nabil Abdul-Hamid & Zaneta Priscepionkaite & all the nurses I would like to say this is the best hospital I’ve ever been in for treatment the care I got was excellent thank you very much.

I had trigger finger release surgery in October. All the nurses, reception staff and Mr Toth were all so kind and caring and nothing was ever too much trouble. Aftercare was second to none with phone calls checking how I was and how the operation had gone. Still attending now for physio on my finger and again all the physiotherapists are so friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend Barlborough NHS treatment centre to all of my family and friends. Well done guys 10/10!
