Biography

James Wareham is a Consultant working in our pain management speciality in Shepton Mallet but he is also an Interventional Neuroradiologist at North Bristol NHS Trust.

James is one of six interventional neuroradiologists at Southmead hospital that deliver the regional sub-arachnoid haemorrhage and stroke thrombectomy service and along with Dr Steve Morgan and Dr Alex Mortimer, provide a pain service at Shepton Mallet PPG.

James has a particular interest education and frequently lectures and helps deliver practical training at courses dedicated to brain and spine intervention and also has his own medical animation company.

Memberships and fellowships

After completing his general radiology training, Mr James Wareham completed a three year fellowship in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology at Southmead Hospital and sat all four modules of the European Diploma of Interventional Neuroradiology (ECMINT).

Hobbies and interests

Outside of work, James has 2 children ages 4 and 5 and spends his minimal free time doing CrossFit.
