Mr Simeon Brundell attended medical school in Nottingham and then spent most of his subsequent training in Leicester, with two years in Australia gaining a doctorate in laparoscopic colorectal surgery. In 2005 he moved to Plymouth to take up his post as a consultant surgeon specialising in colorectal surgery.
Mr Brundell enjoys routine general surgery and particularly concentrates on the surgical management of minor anorectal problems as well as both colorectal cancer and complicated diverticular disease. He has an interest in teaching and training and is the deputy surgical tutor at Derriford Hospital. As part of this role he organises the training program for all junior surgeons working at Derriford hospital.
