Biography

Mr Nath is a consultant General and Kidney Transplant surgeon with specialist expertise in abdominal hernia surgery.

He works as an NHS consultant at Southmead Hospital with additional sessions at Emersons Green. Having qualified from Birmingham Medical School in 2005 he completed his surgical training in the West Midlands and spent a fellowship period in Sao Paulo, Brazil, before relocating to Bristol in 2019.

Mr Nath has completed a research PhD for which he was awarded the Symes Medal by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2019. He has an active research interest and has published over forty papers and book chapters and has supervised more than fifteen undergraduate and postgraduate students. Mr Nath is a member of both the British and European Hernia Societies and is a faculty member of the overseas charity Transplant Links.
