Mr Price specialises in foot and ankle procedures and has a Professional Doctorate for his research into quantification of the mechanical response of the plantar fascia to changes in rearfoot position. He has a range of skills in sports medicine and has treated many national, Olympic, and international athletes and sporting professionals.
Mark, a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon with over 30 years of experience, has performed over 10,000 foot operations and 60,000 injections in NHS and private hospitals in Stafford. He has advanced surgical expertise in diabetes and rheumatology and holds a Professional Doctorate from Staffordshire University for his research on the plantar fascia, developing a unique weight-bearing assessment protocol. He also earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Huddersfield. His clinical skills span sports medicine, biomechanics, orthosis, Stecco myofascial manipulation, foot mobilisation, acupuncture, and hypnosis. Mark has treated numerous national, Olympic, and international athletes and professional sports individuals.
Widely published, he lectures nationally and internationally, including to general practitioners, registrars, and consultants on lower limb pathology. He has lectured in sports biomechanics for the British Association of Sports Exercise and Medicine (BASEM), at the Birmingham School of Podiatry, Staffordshire University, and as a surgical and clinical tutor at the University of Malta for over 20 years. He serves as a surgical tutor and examiner for the Royal College of Podiatry (Surgical Faculty).
Mark invented the Dynastat, a patented device (UK, USA, Europe) that measures complex foot joint angles in a weight-bearing position while recording peak pressure. This enables foot scanning and the creation of bespoke 3D-printed orthoses.
