Mr Cichero is an internationally renowned Consultant podiatric surgeon and is internationally published in limb preservation surgery for diabetic patients. He joined Practice Plus Group in 2025.
Mr Matthew Cichero is an internationally qualified Consultant podiatric surgeon (foot and ankle), with a particular interest in the surgical correction of foot deformities. He is internationally published in limb preservation surgery for patients with diabetes.
He graduated as a podiatrist in Australia in 1996 and was awarded the Peer Professional Clinical Prize. His qualifications include a master’s degree in Podiatric Surgery in 2007, in addition to a Fellowship with the Australian College of Podiatric Surgeons in 2011. He has also held lecturing positions at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. He is the first Australian podiatric surgeon to be awarded dual Fellowship, qualifying with the Royal College of Podiatry (UK), in 2013.
Mr Cichero has established clinical services in Singapore and remote indigenous populations in the Northern Territory of Australia. He has held consultant roles in both the NHS and private sectors, including Great Western Hospital (2010-2024), and has also presented at national and international conferences. He co-authored internationally recognised peer reviewed publications on topics such as big toe joint fusions, tarsal tunnel, bone infection and diabetic foot management.
