Biography
Mr Volpe obtained his medical degree from the University of Rome and completed his postgraduate training in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine in prestigious academic departments in Italy, the USA and the UK.
He has been a lecturer at the University of London, St Bartholomew’s Hospital for 2 years. Since 1990 he has held consultant posts in university hospitals and academic specialist units in Italy and the UK, holding management roles.
He has over 30 years’ experience in clinical anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. He has been invited as a speaker at several international anaesthetic and intensive care congresses.
