I was seen by a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at St Mary’s Hospital in Portsmouth within two weeks of applying. I didn’t have to wait long in the Outpatient’s department before being called in. An X-ray was ordered and taken and I was seen again by the Consultant who confirmed that I needed a hip replacement. The pros and cons of the procedure were explained, and I was told that I would hear from the secretary shortly afterwards to arrange a date for the surgery. The young radiologist was exceptionally kind. Due to an upcoming holiday, I’ve been able to choose when I would like to have the operation. So far I’ve found the Wellsoon part of this Group to be very efficient and I would recommend.
