Prison healthcare

We believe in putting the patient first, regardless of the environment or their history. That’s why we deliver quality healthcare in some of the most challenging environments – for those within the judicial system.

Practice Plus Group have dedicated healthcare teams working in prisons across the country who are passionate about helping the prison population – a socially excluded group with traditionally very poor outcomes – to develop lasting, positive health and wellbeing.

In a matter of a few years we have grown our health in justice service line to over 45 prisons. Today we provide all forms of care, from primary and nursing care, to sexual health, mental health and substance misuse service, and on any one day we’re responsible for the healthcare of over 40,000 patients.

Collaboration is the key to success, and we partner with commissioning bodies to assess the needs of each establishment. We then work with prison staff to deliver improved outcomes, reduced waiting times and the very best frontline healthcare for prisoners.

We’re proud of our track record in improving the long-term health of offenders and lowering the rates of emergency hospital admissions.

Our workforce is pivotal to our ability to support our patients and continue to provide healthcare to our patients, therefore we are continuing to recruit for the below key worker roles in our sites across England:
