By bringing together NHS 111 call centres, clinical assessment and other urgent care services, we enable patients to access the right care, when they need it, creating a better service for all.

We can offer immediate vacancies for great listeners and communicators, as well as roles for experienced nurses, paramedics and pharmacists, in our NHS 111 services. We also have vacancies for a range of clinical professionals in our Clinical Assessment Service (CAS).

NHS 111 jobs

The NHS 111 service exists to provide people with the right medical help, whenever they need it, when the situation isn’t an emergency. Callers to our NHS 111 service speak to our highly trained and closely supported NHS 111 health advisors, who use a state-of-the-art triage tool called NHS Pathways to assess patients over the phone and direct them to the most appropriate care. They are prepared to arrange for 999 services if necessary.

Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) jobs

The CAS is a dedicated clinical hub that supports the operations of our NHS 111 call centres – and also works closely with other health and care professionals throughout the NHS and Practice Plus Group. Depending on the clinical role, members of our multidisciplinary CAS teams can be based in geographically dispersed locations, including on our premises or their own.

Out-of-hours (OOH) jobs

These services are for patients with an urgent need who cannot wait until surgery opening hours. They operate Monday to Friday from 6.30pm to 8.00am, and for 24 hours at weekends and during bank holidays. The majority of the time, access to our OOH service is via NHS 111. Patients are assessed and triaged over the phone, and may, at that point, be referred to the service.
