I did my MBBS from a prestigious Islamic International Medical College in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in 2008, after which I did my house job at the busiest and state-of-the-art hospitals in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. I was awarded the title of an exemplary house officer in my house job. Following my house job, I pursued four years of rigorous anaesthesia training at the esteemed College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, inspired by my father, who is an accomplished anaesthetist. I was awarded a College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) Fellowship. Then, I worked as a senior lecturer at the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation, Karachi, Pakistan, before I moved to the United Kingdom in 2015.
My journey in the UK was marked by five years of structured anaesthetic training, culminating in the attainment of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at West Midland Deanery from Warwickshire School of Anaesthesia. During this period, I developed a profound interest in chronic pain medicine and regional anaesthesia, which led me to pursue a fellowship in this field from the Royal College of Anaesthetists, known as the Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA). This journey also saw me secure a Fellowship from the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) and advanced training in obstetric anaesthesia. I am currently serving as a substantive consultant in anaesthetics at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, Nuneaton, with a special focus on general anaesthesia, obstetrics anaesthesia and chronic pain medicine, a field I am deeply passionate about.
My expertise extends beyond Anaesthesia and Chronic Pain into the realm of education and teaching. I am proud to be an instructor of adult basic and advanced life support, certified by the Resuscitation Council UK. In this role, I train, instruct and certify doctors, paramedics, and nurses on caring for seriously ill patients and those who suffer cardiac arrest. Furthermore, I serve as an educational and clinical supervisor for junior doctors, a role that I consider a vital part of my commitment to the development of future medical professionals. In this capacity, I provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior doctors, helping them navigate their early careers and develop into competent and compassionate medical professionals. I have also been a part of the teaching faculty at the Royal College of Anaesthetist-approved courses in the West Midlands region.

Research and publications
I have published case reports, audits, and articles in various peer-reviewed journals and have presented at multiple international and national conferences. I actively participate in different research projects at the local and national levels.
Hobbies and interests
Besides running, I like spending my free time with my two lovely kids and wife. I love playing piano with my daughter and squash with my son.
