Mrs Priya Prakash is a highly experienced consultant ophthalmic surgeon with a broad range of expertise across all areas of ophthalmology.
Mrs Priya Prakash is a highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologist. With more than 30 years of wide experience and training in ophthalmology, especially Cataract surgery and medical retina. Mrs Prakash offers treatment and expertise on a wide variety of ocular conditions including: small incision cataract surgery, phacoemulsification with monofocal and multifocal intraocular lenses, age related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disorders, retinal vascular occlusions, intravitreal therapies, therapeutic lasers, eyelid surgeries, glaucoma, dry eyes, and general ophthalmology. She has a broad range of expertise across all areas of ophthalmology. She completed her medical degree in 1993 and obtained a Master of Surgery degree in 1997. She currently holds a number of positions, including Consultant Ophthalmologist at Southampton University hospital (ad hoc),MAC representative at Rivers Hospital for Ophthalmology. Mrs Prakash has been very active in research; clinical trials in particular as a Principal Investigator in approved clinical trials at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Essex. Additionally, she holds a position as a CESR assessor at Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London.
