Biography

Mr Imtiaz was appointed as a Consultant General, Colorectal & Laparoscopic Surgeon and Endoscopist at Practice Plus Group Hospital, London in 2023. Before that, he worked as a Consultant Surgeon at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford and Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington.

Mr Imtiaz graduated (MBBS) form University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2000 and completed Fellowship (FCPS) from Bangladesh College of Physician and Surgeons in 2006 after 5 years of surgical training. He completed his Master’s from University of Edinburgh in 2014. His specialist higher surgical training in UK was based in North East of London from 2011-2016 with admission as a Fellow to the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2017. Since then he has been working as Consultant Surgeon.

Mr Imtiaz enjoys teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees and has been part of the faculty for numerous courses at Royal College of Surgeons England including Basic Surgical Skills (BSS), Laparoscopy Course and Surgical Skills for Students and Health Professionals (SSHP) course.

Research and publications

He has delivered several presentations in national and international surgical meetings as well as more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals including numerous in an area of interest Minimally invasive surgery and Endoscopy.
