Biography

Mr Michael Bishay is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 25 years of experience in trauma and reconstructive surgery. He joined Practice Plus Group Hospital, Shepton Mallet, in 2020 following his retirement from the Royal United Hospital in Bath, where he served as a consultant for a quarter of a century.

At Shepton Mallet, Mr Bishay initially focused on revision surgery for a large group of metal-on-metal hip replacement patients, completing around 400 complex procedures. He continues to specialise in lower limb arthroplasty and complex hip reconstruction.
