Biography
Mr Tamvakopoulos completed his first two degree’s in Boston in the United states then completing his medical qualifications in Kings College London, going on to take his higher surgical training in the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
Before joining Practice Plus Group Mr Tamvakopoulos worked at Grantham and District Hospital NHS Trust, Royal London (Barts) NHS Hospital Trust and Royal National Orthopaedic NHS Trust.
Mr Tamvakopoulos subspecialisation interest is in upper limb musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries in all joints in the upper limb (shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand).
Reasearch
Mr Tamvakopoulos has taken part in basic science research in the field of angiogenesis. He has completed his BSc and Masters thesis in research on sarcoma tumours and wound healing. He has published his work in scientific literature. He has further published work in clinical medical practice in surgical oncology, revision hip surgery, wrist instability, spinal injuries, etc.

Mr Tamvakopoulos is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and is a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society. He is also an affiliate of the Arthroscopic Association of North America.

He enjoys cultural experiences, acquiring new knowledge and skills, and spending time with his family.
