Biography
Dr Dominika Palcovicova is a consultant anaesthetist at Practice Plus Group who has extensive experience and knowledge gained through education and previous roles. Dr Dominika Palcovicova obtained their medical degree from the Medical Faculty at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, and later attended Slovak Medical University in the same city. Their professional journey began in 1996 when they joined the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at the University Hospital in Zilina, Slovakia. In 2008, they moved to the United Kingdom to work in the Department of Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine at Medway NHS Foundation Trust in Gillingham, before joining Practice Plus Group in 2015.
Dr Dominika Palcovicova’s areas of specialisation include ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia, patient safety, enhanced recovery, perioperative medicine, and ASL provider. They have also been involved in high flow oxygen therapy trials, contributing to valuable research in the field. They are passionate about providing the best possible care for their patients and ensuring their safety throughout the perioperative period.
In addition to their clinical practice, Dr Dominika Palcovicova is an Associate Member of the Royal College of Anaesthetist, a member of the Association of Anaesthetist of Great Britain and Ireland, and a member of the Difficult Airway Society. They are also a member of MDDUS, highlighting their commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
