Darren studied medicine in Cardiff to become an ophthalmologist and has worked in primary care as the Clinical Director of free practices and as an ophthalmic lead.

Darren is a member of the MCO and former member and Vice Chair of the Avon LOC, he is also training in independent prescribing.
Hobbies and interests
Darren is a father of 4 and when he’s not working he enjoys getting out for hikes and trying new mountain walks when possible.
