Dr Alicja A’Court is a highly experienced consultant anaesthetist. With over 20 years of experience in anaesthetics and intensive care medicine, she has trained and worked in both Poland and Germany before continuing her career in the UK. Known for her calm, reassuring approach, Dr A’Court focuses on providing personalised, high-quality care to every patient throughout their treatment journey.

Biography

Since joining the General Medical Council register, Dr A’Court has built a distinguished career within the NHS and independent healthcare sectors. Her UK experience includes seven years as a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth University NHS Trust, followed by a Locum Consultant post at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Regional Trauma Centre, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

In 2022, she joined Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough, as a Consultant Anaesthetist. Dr A’Court is recognised for her calm, patient-centred approach and her commitment to providing the highest standards of perioperative care. Her combination of academic excellence, international training, and hands-on experience across complex surgical environments underpins her reputation as a trusted and highly skilled anaesthetic specialist.

I am an enthusiastic consultant anaesthetist with 25+ years’ experience in various fields of medicine, and 11-years as specialist anaesthetist. My comprehensive education as well as broad practice, has led me to become a specialist whose paramount approach is clinical excellence and patients’ safety. My aim is to lead patients throughout their treatment journey in a caring and safe manner, according to their individual needs. I like being challenged by complicated cases and keep proving my clinical skills. Satisfactory treatment outcome and wellbeing of patients under my care have always been my priority.
