Mr Ahmar Shah is a Consultant gynaecologist at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Shepton Mallet, where he has worked since 2017. He graduated with an MB BS from the University of Karachi and brings a wealth of experience from previous roles, including at hospitals in Dorchester and Yeovil. Mr Shah specialises in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery and provides expert care for a broad range of gynaecological conditions such as pelvic pain, endometriosis, menstrual disorders, fibroids, and menopause.

He leads several key services, including Colposcopy and Cervical Screening (CSPL), the Pelvic Pain Clinic, Minimal Access Surgery, and Endometriosis care. He is also the lead for research in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Yeovil District Hospital, actively contributing to multiple national and NHS-endorsed studies.
