Mr Rahij Anwar is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as the management of a broad range of sports injuries and general orthopaedic conditions.

Biography

Mr Rahij Anwar joined Practice Plus Group in September 2018 and works across both Practice Plus Group Hospital, Ilford, and Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre, Gillingham. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare, including more than a decade as an NHS consultant in the UK, he brings extensive expertise in orthopaedic surgery.

Mr Anwar has a special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as knee sports injuries including ACL and patellofemoral conditions. He also performs a wide range of general orthopaedic procedures, including bunion and toe surgery. A dedicated researcher and educator, Mr Anwar has authored three orthopaedic textbooks and published more than 25 peer-reviewed articles in leading international journals. He is highly respected by his peers and trusted by patients for his expert, compassionate care.
