Mr Charles Ayekoloye is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee joint replacements, including complex primary reconstructions, unicompartmental knee replacements, and knee arthroscopy. He has held multiple roles in NHS hospitals and most recently served as a consultant in lower limb arthroplasty at Mount Stuart Hospital, Torquay.
He completed his specialist training in North-West England in 2002 and expanded his expertise through fellowships at King’s College Hospital, London, Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, and a senior fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. He also holds a Master’s degree with merit in Medical Research from Warwick University and a Master’s in Orthopaedic Science with distinction from the University of Salford.

Having completed his orthopaedic training in Northwest England, Mr Ayekoloye undertook further training, including fellowships in revision hip and knee arthroplasties at King’s College Hospital, London, Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, and a senior clinical fellowship in adult reconstruction under Professor Allan Gross at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. There, he gained expertise in advanced hip reconstruction techniques, including specialised hip exposures, bone grafts and augments for complex acetabular defects, and the use of various femoral stems, dual mobility, and constrained liners. For knees, he developed skills in complex primary knee replacements, utilising stems, augments, sleeves, and a range of constraints for challenging reconstructions.

Mr Charles Ayekoloye earned a Distinction in Anatomy in 1981 from University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Distinction in a Master’s in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2017 from the University of Salford, United Kingdom.
Mr Ayekoloye offers same-day hip and knee replacements, including medial unicompartmental knee replacements, for carefully selected patients who are healthy and motivated.
