At Practice Plus Group, we’re thrilled to share some fantastic news: we’ve been shortlisted for 8 prestigious national awards across two major events – the Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards and the LaingBuisson Awards!
At the Nursing Times Workforce Summit & Awards 2025, we’re finalists in 5 categories recognising our work in staff engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, and leadership.
- Best UK Employer of the Year for Nursing staff
- Best Employer for Diversity and Inclusion
- Best Employer for Staff Recognition and Engagement
- Nurse Manager of the Year – Tracie Wilson, HMP Brinsford
- Best Staff Wellbeing Initiative – Wellbeing cupboards, Health in Justice
These nominations reflect contributions from across the whole of Practice Plus Group’s services. These include nursing teams, wellbeing champions, recruitment, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, and our Healthcare Heroes and Excellence Awards programmes.
At the LaingBuisson Awards, our Secondary Care division is shortlisted in three categories:
- Hospital Group of the Year – recognising 20 years of unlocking access to surgery, our perioperative review project, high quality measures, the success of our Wellsoon private healthcare service, and innovation in surgical pathways.
- Public Private Partnership – celebrating our Plymouth hospital’s collaboration with NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly ICB, and our Emersons Green hospital’s collaboration with Welsh health boards, reducing waiting times and widening access to care.
- Best Healthcare Outcomes – highlighting our work on perioperative pathway reviews and pioneering same day joint replacements that deliver faster recovery, reduced pain, and 98% patient satisfaction.
These shortlists are only possible thanks to the passion, creativity, and teamwork of colleagues across Practice Plus Group. A huge well done to everyone involved.
