What is an avulsion of varicose veins?

An avulsion of a varicose vein is a procedure that physically removes surface varicose veins through tiny 1 to 3 mm skin incisions using a small surgical hook. The procedure is minimally invasive and patients are able to return home on the same day. The procedure can be carried out one one or both legs.
