What foam sclerotherapy?

Foam sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive medical procedure used to treat varicose and spider veins. During the procedure, a specialist mixes a liquid sclerosing medication with air to create a thick foam. When injected into the defective vein, this foam acts to displace the blood and irritate the vein wall. This causes it to seal, collapse, and eventually fade away. The procedure can be carried out one one or both legs.
