Mr Istvan Mersich is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in joint replacements (hip, partial and total knee), patellofemoral problems, knee arthroscopy, meniscal repairs.
He combines extensive clinical expertise with a patient-centred approach to deliver tailored, evidence-based care for optimal outcomes.
Mr Istvan Mersich completed his orthopaedic surgical training in Budapest, Hungary in 1997 and undertook further subspecialist training in shoulder surgery in Nottingham in 2000. He worked as clinical lecturer at Semmelweis University Teaching Hospital from 2001 and as consultant orthopaedic surgeon from 2002.
Mr Mersich joined the orthopaedic team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough in early 2005 and has been an active member of the hospital since.
