Mini consultations
Terms and conditions

1. Our contract with you
1.1 These Terms set out the basis on which we provide mini consultations. By booking a mini consultation, you agree to these Terms.
1.2 In these Terms, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to Practice Plus Group Hospitals Limited or any other company within the Practice Plus Group. “You” or “your” refers to the individual receiving the consultation.
2. Definitions
2.1 The following definitions apply throughout this document:
Practice Plus Group: Practice Plus Group Hospitals Limited and/or its subsidiaries, as defined under section 1159 of the Companies Act 2006 (as amended), with company number 03462881 and registered office at Practice Plus Group, Ground Floor, 1330 Arlington Business Park, Theale, Reading, England, RG7 4SA..
Terms: These terms and conditions governing the provision of mini consultations.
Mini consultation: A free-of-charge consultation of up to 15 minutes with one of our consultants, during which you may discuss your health concerns.
Facility: Any hospital or care facility operated by Practice Plus Group where mini consultations are provided.
3. Scope of a mini consultation
3.1 What a mini consultation typically includes:
- Review of your symptoms or concerns
- Brief discussion of relevant medical history
- Initial opinion on whether surgery may be appropriate
- Overview of potential treatment options (surgical and non-surgical)
- Explanation of next steps, such as further tests, imaging (e.g., MRI or X-rays), or a full consultation
3.2 What a mini consultation does not include:
- Full physical examination or detailed review of medical records
- Diagnostic testing or pre-operative assessment
- Surgical planning or procedure scheduling
- In-depth discussion of risks and benefits
- Consent for treatment or booking of procedures
3.3 Information required:
You will be required to provide sufficient information about your condition to support the consultation, including relevant medical background and your current concerns.
3.4 Limitations of advice:
Any information provided during a mini consultation is general in nature and based on limited details. It should not be relied upon for medical decision-making. A full outpatient consultation is required for any personalised medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment plan.
3.5 Fees:
Mini consultations are offered free of charge. Any follow-up consultations, tests, or treatments will be charged at the applicable standard rate. Please speak to a member of our team for further details.
3.6 Medical records:
No formal medical records or consultation letters will be produced. Any clinician notes made are for internal use only and will not form part of your official medical record.
3.7 Clinical relationship:
A mini consultation does not constitute the formation of a formal patient-clinician relationship or clinical duty of care. It is purely for general information and guidance.
