Biography

Mr Ferrer’s consultant-level qualifications were completed in Barcelona. During his residency to become a specialist, he assisted an Orthopaedic Surgeon who was a Football Club Barcelona doctor for many years. Later, he completed a Fellowship in hip and knee replacements at the world-famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA.

Mr Ferrer has worked at the Hospital Clinico Universitario, Hospital del Mar, Hospital Clinica Corachan all in Barcelona. He has also worked at Hospital Universitario Infanta Elena in Madrid and Hospital Publico de Verin, Ourense, Galicia.

Mr Ferrer’s special interests are in primary hip and knee replacements. Other areas of interest are knee arthroscopies and minor hand and foot procedures.

Hobbies and interests

Mr Ferrer is married with two grown up children. He regularly flies to Spain to see family & friends. His hobbies include classic cars (he owns an MGF 75 anniversary LE), lane swimming, golf and skiing in winter. He also likes to watch F1, football and tennis.
