Biography

Mr Prasad graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India in 1999 where he developed a keen interest in Orthopaedics. He completed Specialist Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery training in Nottingham and gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2017.

Mr Prasad also works as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where he has been since June 2022.  He has a specific interest in Upper Limb Surgery and gained his Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship working in Northern General Hospital, Sheffield and Liverpool University Hospitals.

When not operating on patients, Mr Prasad particularly enjoys teaching medical students from Sheffield and Nottingham Universities on general Orthopaedic conditions, as well as being part of the teaching faculty for East Midlands (Nottingham) Deanery Registrars.

Mr Prasad began working at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough in the summer of 2022 where he carries out shoulder, elbow and hand surgery.

He is a firm believer that the best outcome for our patients can only be achieved when decisions are carefully considered and evidence based with absolute focus on patient choice.
