Biography

Dr Fergus Thursby-Pelham was appointed as a consultant in gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth and has also worked at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Southampton since 2011. He cares for both inpatients and outpatients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal diseases, but has a specialist interest in endoscopy.

Dr Thursby-Pelham takes an active practical role in endoscopy research supporting his academic research colleagues. He has been involved in numerous trials and studies looking at improving the detection and diagnosis of gastrointestinal abnormalities, as well as the development and integration of novel advanced endoscopic techniques.
