Ferenc Toth

Mr Ferenc Toth graduated from medical school in 1991 at the Medical University of Pécs, Hungary and has been a consultant in trauma surgery since 1997, a consultant in hand surgery since 1999 and a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2003. Mr Toth specialises in hip replacements, knee replacements and knee arthroscopy, carpal tunnel surgery and trigger finger release surgery.

Biography

Mr Ferenc Toth is a highly accomplished consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a career spanning over three decades. After graduating from the Medical University of Pécs, Hungary, in 1991, he advanced his expertise by becoming a consultant in trauma surgery in 1997, hand surgery in 1999, and orthopaedic surgery in 2003. He served as the head of the hand surgery unit at the University of Pécs between 2004 and 2005 before joining Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough. Since 2005, he has been a dedicated member of the orthopaedic team, specialising in hip and knee replacements and knee arthroscopies. In addition Mr Toth has a keen interest in minor on hand surgery.

In addition to his extensive clinical experience, Mr Toth has a strong academic background, holding a PhD and habilitation (Dr Med Habil) from the University of Pécs, where he is also an Honorary Professor. He has led innovative research projects, including the development of osteoscopy, a minimally invasive technique to assess blood supply to the femoral head in femoral neck fractures. His findings have the potential to transform surgical decision-making in orthopaedics.
