Biography

Dr Fatemeh Hani has been worked as an anaesthetist for over 25 years. Fatemeh performs all types of anaesthetics for all required surgical fields such as general surgery, eye surgery, orthopaedics, endoscopy, shoulder surgery, ENT, gynaecology and urology.

She earned her MD from Istanbul University, Cerrahpasha Faculty of Medicine, in 1993 and trained as an Anaesthetics Trainee at Istanbul University, Chapa Faculty of Medicine until 1996. After moving to Copenhagen in 1996, she learned Danish, passed medical exams, and registered as a medical doctor at the University of Copenhagen in 1999.

Dr Hani completed her anaesthetics training there and was certified as an Anaesthetist in 2006. She worked as a consultant in Copenhagen before moving to the UK, where she held various anaesthetist roles at Darent Valley Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital, Kings College Hospital NHS Trust, and Princes Royal University Hospital. She is now a substantive consultant anaesthetist at PPGHI and PPG WATC.

Dr Hani has extensive experience in anaesthetics and currently holds a substantive post as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Ilford (PPGH Ilford). There, she focuses on elective surgery, primarily in orthopaedics, general surgery, ophthalmic surgery, and gynaecology, along with urology and ENT procedures. BHRUT neuro and orthopaedic surgeons also perform surgeries at the hospital.

Since 2016, she has been the Airway Lead and Acute Pain Lead, proficient in handling airways, regional anaesthesia, and ultrasound equipment.

She is passionate about patient care and safety throughout the perioperative period. Dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, she works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
