Dr Petsas takes a holistic and patient-focused approach, combining technical precision in regional and general anaesthesia with a strong emphasis on safety, comfort, and multidisciplinary communication. He is especially passionate about improving perioperative care through evidence-based practice.

Dr Petsas’ main research interests lie in the field of regional anaesthesia. He has published several peer-reviewed articles, including the first case report from Greece on the use of the erector spinae plane block at a time when no reviews on the technique were yet available. He has also been invited to speak on chronic post-surgical pain, including a presentation at the Global Pain Conference in Florence in 2018. 

Peer-reviewed publications in Journal of Pain Research, J Anesth Crit Care, Int J Anesthetic Anesthesiol, and others. Topics include postoperative pain, regional blocks, anaesthesia in the elderly, and diagnostic nerve blocks.
