Mr Miligkos has worked at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Southampton since 2019. He provides expert care for a range of gynaecological conditions including hysterectomy, colposcopy, and pelvic pain. He is the winner of several clinical awards along with holding memberships of several professional organisations including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists among others.
Mr Miligkos graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens in Greece before relocating to the UK to pursue specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He completed a two-and-a-half-year fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of benign gynaecological conditions, having secured one of only five nationally offered training positions each year in the UK.
Mr Miligkos specialises in advanced laparoscopic procedures and operative hysteroscopy and his key clinical interests include minimal access surgery, and management of deep endometriosis, pelvic pain, and menstrual disorders. He is an accredited surgeon by the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy for the surgical management of deep rectovaginal endometriosis. He has been the lead for gynaecology service at Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton since 2016 and has been involved in multiple service improvement projects.

Early in his career, he developed an interest in endometriosis and completed his PhD in the University of Athens with the title of “The role of Insulin-like growth factors in the pathophysiology of endometriosis”. He has published his research in peer reviewed medical journals and presented his work in national and international meetings.
