Biography

Dr Anthony Cartwright graduated from Sheffield University Medical School in 1995 following which he entered service in the Royal Air Force as a medical officer. On leaving the RAF, he worked in the NHS completing his Anaesthetic training in 2010.  He undertook a consultant position in the NHS before spending 10 years in the Middle East commissioning one of the worlds’ most advanced hospitals, leading and managing many new treatment modalities in the region.  He returned to the UK in 2024 with his family and took up his position at Practice Plus Group, Plymouth.

Dr Cartwright’s area of interest is Health Informatics and leveraging computer and AI solutions to optimise patient safety and focus on patient centred and individualised care.

Research and publications

Dr Cartwright has authored and co-authored several book chapters and papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented widely at national and international conferences.
