Attia Anwar, an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP), plays a crucial role as a Clinical Lead Nurse at Practice Plus Group’s North-West London’s Out of Hours (OOH) and Clinical Assessment Service’s (CAS) unit. With a background in urgent care and GP practices within the NHS, Attia brings her agility and passion for delivering quality care to our patients.
Embracing innovation and collaboration
Attia shares: “In this role, I can enhance my leadership skills – both clinical and non-clinical, and my managerial skills. I can engage with other clinicians to lead by example and inspire and motivate other clinicians. I’m thriving in this role and am really enjoying it.”
The role offers numerous opportunities for progression and innovation, including rolling out new services, mobilizing resources, monitoring performance, and driving improvements. Attia actively participates in pivotal studies to implement efficient ways of delivering high standards of patient care.

The management understands employees personal priorities and allows great flexibility in rotas to cater to it. Whether you need to adjust your schedule for family commitments, personal development, or simply to recharge, you can find a supportive environment here.
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in our Integrated Urgent Care team, Attia collaborates closely with senior operational and administrative teams. This fosters effective communication and a supportive, family-like atmosphere.
“It’s like a family, everyone is very welcoming, supportive and friendly. We communicate regularly and approach challenges as a team, and you don’t feel isolated or alone. I feel this truly reflects Practice Plus Group values.”
Career progression and development
Despite the pressures of urgent care, Attia appreciates the advantages of working with an independent provider like Practice Plus Group. Sharing best practices and learning from regional teams allows her to thrive. Teams in every region constantly exchange ideas and learn from each other. The organisation’s commitment to innovation, aligned with NHS principles, really excites her.
Attia also finds Practice Plus Group to be encouraging career progression and development.
“Prior to starting here, I had begun an NHS leadership course, and I have been supported to complete it. I am proud to be part of and work for a leading independent provider to the NHS which aims to deliver excellence in care.”
