Biography

Mr Charles Ayekoloye is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee joint replacements, including complex primary reconstructions, unicompartmental knee replacements, and knee arthroscopy. He has held multiple roles in NHS hospitals and most recently served as a consultant in lower limb arthroplasty at Mount Stuart Hospital, Torquay.

He completed his specialist training in North-West England in 2002 and expanded his expertise through fellowships at King’s College Hospital, London, Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, and a senior fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. He also holds a Master’s degree with merit in Medical Research from Warwick University and a Master’s in Orthopaedic Science with distinction from the University of Salford.

Throughout his career, Mr Ayekoloye has combined extensive clinical experience with advanced training to deliver patient-centred care in lower limb arthroplasty.

For knees, he developed skills in complex primary knee replacements, utilising stems, augments, sleeves, and a range of constraints for challenging reconstructions.
