I had 2 cataract operations by the same surgeon and she was excellent! Both eyes are now perfect and operations went without a hitch! Aftercare was superb!

I was very nervous at the start, but was absolutely amazed at the professional and caring service. The staff were so kind and helpful making my experience worry-free. The surgeon was excellent and gentle, I’m so glad I had my eye surgery there. 100% a perfect day.

Cataract surgery, Practice Plus Group
Cataract surgery is very rewarding. The benefit of cataract surgery is restoration of vision. Most patients can confidently get back to routine activities such as reading, watching television, driving and playing sports.
Cataract surgery is a major operation, however it has very low risk of complications.
At Practice Plus Group, patients paying for themselves or using private medical insurance, can usually have their cataract operation within 4-6 weeks after initial consultation.
Cataract surgery usually takes between 15-30 minutes.
After surgery, you will be taken to the discharge lounge, where you’ll be offered refreshments. A discharge nurse will discuss post-operative instructions with you and give you eyedrops that you’ll need to put in for four weeks. After all your questions have been answered, you will be discharged home.
You should be able to drive around 24 hours after surgery, provided you are certain you meet DVLA requirements.
The intraocular lens is permanent and never needs to be replaced.
You will be given a telephone number to ring if you have any concerns whatsoever.
At Practice Plus Group we are here for you. We treat our patients as we would like to be treated. We strive to do our best to give our patients the best outcomes and experience.
One of our dedicated team of world-class surgeons at Practice Plus Group will treat you; from consultation to surgery, you’ll be in safe hands with us.

Read our great patient story: Mike, a keen sailor, received cataract surgery at Practice Plus Group.
“The operation went to time and plan. I was there for under three hours in total. I was amazed at how well I could see with the “new” eye only 10 minutes after leaving the couch.”
