Our hospitals offer effective, minimally invasive treatments for varicose, thread and spider veins, all tailored to your specific needs. Our procedures include keyhole laser, surgery and sclerotherapy injections, with pricing based on the severity of your condition. This will be discussed with you thoroughly during your consultation, with our expert vascular surgeons clearly explaining your specific treatment needs.

Laser surgery

Our advanced laser surgery provides a quick recovery solution for varicose veins, delivering strong bursts of light inside the affected vein. This causes the veins to shrink and fade over time and has been proven to deliver excellent results with a low chance of the condition recurring.

You will need to wear compression stockings for two weeks after your treatment to encourage healing and reduce the risk of blood clots.

With no hidden costs and surgery within 4-6 weeks of your initial consultation, Wellsoon private surgery means you’ll pay less than you might think and be back to your best sooner than you thought.

Injections (Sclerotherapy) and venous surgery

Injections are ideal for spider or thread veins or as a complementary treatment to laser surgery. This procedure involves injecting a foamy solution into the varicose veins to close them. You may need to attend multiple sessions depending on the severity of your condition. Compression stockings are recommended for a few days post-treatment to support healing. This is often combined with venous surgery which is carried out under local anaesthetic.

Your treatment plan will be customised based on a consultation with our specialists. If you’re seeking treatment through an existing health insurance policy, it’s a good idea to check whether cosmetic treatments are covered.

Patients seeking treatment via the NHS will need to see their GP beforehand.

Treatment using a laser beam fibre inside the vein is provides the best results. Most patients can be treated this way but other techniques are effective when this technology isn’t suitable.

The answer to this question depends on the needs of the patient. For some people, their varicose veins will be painful, increasing the urgency for treatment. When asked post-surgery, most patients feel the benefits were well worth the effort.
