About the speaker

This lecture will be presented by Mr Hemanth Venkatesh, orthopaedic surgeon at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emersons Green, and Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre, Devizes. Mr Venkatesh has extensive experience in orthopaedics, complemented by in-depth research achievements and active involvement in NHS quality and service improvement initiatives.
Mr Venkatesh trained in India, where he earned his medical degree and completed specialist Trauma and Orthopaedics training. He continued his advanced surgical training in the United Kingdom, obtaining the FRCS (Ed) T&O, CCT T&O, and a Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) in Orthopaedics from Teesside University.
To further enhance his expertise, he completed the MTI RCS Knee Fellowship at University Hospital of North Tees & Hartlepool, focusing on complex knee reconstruction, and the Lower Limb Arthroplasty Fellowship at Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital, gaining advanced experience in hip and knee joint replacement surgery.
Through a combination of specialist fellowships, academic research, and leadership experience, Mr Venkatesh brings a comprehensive and patient-centred approach to orthopaedic practice, with particular focus on lower limb arthroplasty and trauma management.
