‘Guidance in oral surgery for primary care’

Tips on managing minor oral surgery in practice in accordance with current guidance.

This course highlights medical conditions and medications to look out for prior to performing oral surgery. We explore the guidance available, how to keep up to date, and discuss how to put the information into action when managing these patients. We discuss when it may be advisable to refer. 

Come and visit Emersons Green Hospital, see where your patients are assessed and treated. Ask Kathryn French, departmental lead any questions about the management of your patients when they require oral surgery. The talk will take around 45 minutes with time for questions, discussion, light refreshments and networking.

About the speaker:

Miss Kathryn French

Miss Kathryn French, Specialist Oral Surgeon and Lead Oral Surgeon at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emersons Green and Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre, Devizes, Honorary Lecturer at the University of Bristol (UoB).

Miss French was awarded an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship in Oral Surgery to undertake research and teaching alongside her specialty training at Bristol Dental School. She has a special interest in wound healing, treating anxious patients, and education. She also lectures in conscious sedation for UoB.
