About the speaker

Mr Yang has been a full-time consultant at Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary since 1998. He uses his extensive clinical experience to perform cataract surgery and manage complex retinal conditions, tailoring care to each patient’s individual needs. He has been actively involved in research throughout his career, publishing over 130 peer-reviewed papers, and contributing to advances in ophthalmology.

As a senior clinician, Mr Yang also supports hospital administration and clinical governance, helping maintain safe, effective, and high-quality services. He believes every condition affects patients differently, and emphasises treating one eye at a time and one patient at a time to achieve the best outcomes.
