Our ophthalmology consultant Farhan Zaidi will offer a practical guide to acute vision loss either sudden or gradual. The course will offer to learn how to apply essential diagnostic protocols in optometry practice by analysing patient symptoms to effectively distinguish between urgent and non-urgent cases. Attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions, combined with a dedicated Q&A session with Farhan Zaidi.

About the speakers
Mr Farhan Zaidi is a highly experienced consultant ophthalmologist with over 12 years’ experience at consultant level. He trained in London, including at Moorfields Eye Hospital, with specialist expertise in cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery and medical retina.
He holds Fellowships with both the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRC Ophth), and completed a PhD in ophthalmology at Imperial College London.
Mr Zaidi has held senior NHS roles, including Clinical Lead for South West London Diabetic Eye Screening Services, and has presented research at national and international conferences.
He has been part of the ophthalmology team at Practice Plus Group since 2019.
