Welcome to the PPG careers site – I’m Andy Lunt, Managing Director of Secondary Care at Practice Plus Group, and from this page you’ll find information about our Hospitals, Surgical Centres, Ophthalmic, Diagnostic and Musculoskeletal (MSK) services, as well as our Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC).

The primary focus of our Secondary Care services is to deliver high quality, patient-centred NHS and Private elective care in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, ENT and urology, as well as providing excellent diagnostic and assessment services to help patients access the right treatment for them in a timely manner. We also help patients needing urgent, “walk in” access to treatment via our UTCs at Portsmouth and Southampton.

The benefits of working in a our Secondary Care services include: well-developed team working and engagement; excellent work life balance with flexible working arrangements; an emphasis on employee wellbeing; excellent clinical facilities; strong clinical leadership with robust clinical governance embedded across the organisation; clear career pathways; excellent training and development programmes; wide diversity of staff backgrounds and skills – all of which combine to make working in Practice Plus Group Secondary Care an enjoyable, challenging but rewarding experience.

Some of the things we’re really proud of in Secondary Care are: our CQC rating ratings – all our services are rated either Outstanding or Good, which is an industry-leading position (click here for more information); the strength of our clinical leadership and governance framework which sets us apart in the private sector (is there a click that will illustrate this one???); our innovative services – our Barlborough Hospital is one of the leading national centres delivering day case arthroplasty (click here for details); our leading Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs)s scores (see here for further information)… there’s a lot to be proud about working at Practice Plus Group Secondary Care!

I really enjoy working at Practice Plus Group – we strive to put patients first and genuinely deliver patient-centred services… whilst that sounds simple and obvious, not many healthcare organisations can actually sustain this approach; we also promote an inclusive, flexible culture and from a personal perspective, working at Practice Plus Group enables me to manage and deliver a range of key services working with motivated, engaged colleagues… what more could you ask?!
