Welcome to the Practice Plus Group careers site. I’m Kevin Brown, National Director for Integrated Urgent Care at Practice Plus Group. We provide NHS 111 services, Clinical Advisory Services and GP out of hours services from our portfolio.
At Practice Plus Group, we currently deliver more than 70 different healthcare services across the UK with some of these services being rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC. We are proud to be the UK’s leading independent provider of healthcare services in over 40 prisons and also lead the way in the design and delivery of Integrated Urgent Care.
Colleagues from a wide diversity of backgrounds with a range of different skill-sets but whichever team sparks your interest you will benefit from an emphasis on employee wellbeing, state of the art systems and IT, flexible working, modern offices, opportunities for home working, a great team spirit and most of all – knowing that you are key part of delivering Access To Excellence – our Healthcare mission.
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Practice Plus Group website and think about the opportunity of joining our team.
As Chief Executive I’m proud every day to see the work our colleagues carry out providing excellent care to patients and communities across the country – and in those services that support that delivery. We are committed to quality, to being a great partner to the NHS, and being a great place to work.
I really enjoy working at Practice Plus Group – we strive to put patients first and genuinely deliver patient-centred services… whilst that sounds simple and obvious, not many healthcare organisations can actually sustain this approach; we also promote an inclusive, flexible culture and from a personal perspective, working at Practice Plus Group enables me to manage and deliver a range of key services working with motivated, engaged colleagues… what more could you ask?!
I was very well supported by Practice Plus Group during this time and was able to excel and make a mark, so when there was a vacant post for a Regional Medical Director (RMD) for London it was suggested that I apply for this role. In June 2015, I became the Regional Medical Director, which was an immensely fulfilling and satisfying role. I balanced this management job with OOH work, as well as remaining a partner in a practice in South West London, and Practice Plus Group allowed me immense flexibility to do all this.
“Not only was it considerably cheaper than traditional private hospitals, the CQC rating gave me the reassurance that I could expect high standards of care”
I wanted to get away from the madness of the general hospital where I rarely got a break and it cost a fortune to park my car (if I was lucky enough to find a space!). A friend pointed me in the direction of Practice Plus Group and Devizes Surgical Centre. I arranged a tour and was pleasantly surprised at what I found. The staff were very welcoming. The centre itself was clean, light and airy and I could park my car for free!
A Worksop man has been one of the first to get a new knee and return home on the same day thanks to a team at Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre who have pioneered routine hip and knee replacement as day surgery.
The primary focus of our Secondary Care services is to deliver high quality, patient-centred NHS and Private elective care in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, ENT and urology, as well as providing excellent diagnostic and assessment services to help patients access the right treatment for them in a timely manner. We also help patients needing urgent, “walk in” access to treatment via our UTCs at Portsmouth and Southampton.
